Senior Shared Ride and Area Agency on Aging (AAA)

Individuals ages 65 and over qualify for this program.  Eighty-five percent of the fare is sponsored by the PA State Lottery Grant (PennDOT).  To register for this program, you may call the SWCT office to request an application and have proof of age (driver's license, birth certificate, etc.).  
 
Additional Senior Funding
PennDOT sponsors 85% of the ride, but additionally..... 
Individuals over the age of 65 residing in Susquehanna County can ride for any trip purpose within our service area for $.75 per trip ($1.50 round trip).  This is sponsored by B/S/S/T Area Agency on Aging, Inc. 
Individuals over the age of 65 residing in Wyoming County can ride within our service area to medical appointments and for necessary grocery shopping to the closest grocery store once a week for $1.50 per trip ($3.00 round trip).  This is sponsored by Wyoming County Interfaith.
 
Medical Assistance Transportation (MATP)
 
Individuals with the Medical Access Card are eligible for this program.  For those eligible,  trips provided directly to and from medical providers that accept the Access Medical Card are free (and to the Pharmacy to pick up prescriptions).  To register,  you may call the SWCT office and request an application to become enrolled. 
 
Persons with Disabilities (PWD)
 
This program is sponsored by PENNDOT.  If you have a permanent or temporary disability  as defined by the ADA (Americans with Disabilities Act) and are between the ages of 18 and 64,  you are eligible for this program.  Trip costs vary depending on the trip distance.  You can go anywhere in our service area for any trip purpose-  shopping,  recreation,  etc.  Please call the SWCT office to request an application for this service.  Eighty-five percent of the fare is sponsored by PENNDOT,  and the remaining 15% is the responsiblility of the client.
