Workforce Investment Act Programs

Adult & Dislocated Worker programs are funded by the Department of Labor through the Workforce Investment Act (WIA),  providing eligible individuals with career counseling, pre-vocational preparation, basic skills improvement, on-the-job training, occupational skills training and job search assistance.  The goal is to assist them in obtaining gainful employment.  These programs serve Sullivan, Susquehanna, Tioga and Wyoming counties.

Worldwide Interactive Network (WIN) and WorkKeys Assessments-  Designed to match essential job skills with employee knowlege and ability,  the WIN and WorkKeys assessments work together to provide both job seekers and employers with valuable training and information.  Clients work through practice tests prior to taking the standardized WorkKeys exam within a controlled environment.  If scores demonstrate weakness in a particular subject area,  remediation modules and instructor assistance are available.
